Our twins have arrived!

Matt's sister, Buffy, delivered two beautiful baby girls early this afternoon. Here is what they had to say,

"Zoe weighed in at a whopping 6lbs - 3ozs. She is resting comfortably in the room with Buffy and I.
Her sister, Tori, is a wee little peanut at 3lbs - 15ozs. She looks perfectly formed, just small for her age. She is hanging out in the NICU for the time being and doing very well."

Hooray for a safe delivery for mom and babies! As soon as I can get my hands on some pictures, I will put them up here!

Crazy Health Update

I wanted to give m readers an update on what is going on with Buffy and her twins and with Jeannie and Nate's back.

Buffy just emailed and this is what she said:

"The bottom line is that both girls are growing, though the little one is still smaller. The technician said that they both look great, though. The little one is moving around a TON, which is encouraging. The "big" one is pretty active too, so needless to say, my belly is quite a playground these days.

Thank you so much for praying. We go back in two weeks and if there's any change (negatively) they may put me on steroids in order to encourage the babies' organs to grow just in case they need to deliver them early. Please continue to pray that they will both grow at the rate they are "supposed" to and that they will stay in there as long as they need to in order to come out healthy!"

And on Nate and his back:

"He is supposed to have an MRI done tomorrow morning (Friday), but he has a slight fever today. If the fever doesn't go away, then they'll have to put it off. "

So please keep praying. Neither of these situations is "out of the woods" and there is going to be a lot going on in the next few weeks. Thank you for your faithfulness and for loving us and our family!

Prayer

I wanted to ask those of you that read this blog to pray for Buffy and Ian, Matt's sister and her husband. Buffy is 24 weeks pregnant with twin girls. The girls have been growing at disproportionate rates and on Tuesday they will have another ultrasound to see how things have been going during the last month. The doctors are not sure why they are growing at different rates but suspect a placenta problem. Please pray that the problem has corrected itself and that the girls would continue to grow inside of Buffy.

I really love Buffy and Ian and their daughter Maggie. I am so excited that they are having girls that will be so close in age to Lucy! It is one more aspect that I love about our families! On both sides we have cousins that are so close in age to one another and so they will always have little playmates when we get together. So please pray for a healthy outcome from this pregnancy and this hurdle to get over will be examined on Tuesday. I love you guys!
