Weekend's Are For Sunshine

And by sunshine, I mean cousins from New Jersey.

My sister and her two kids came down on an e-saver on Saturday for the weekend and it was glorious.

The weather was beautiful.
The children cooperated.
We ate.
We played.
They slept. Ish.

It was amazing.
Especially since about a year total separates all four of them. Don't believe me?

No we didn't dress them the same ALL weekend, but we were tempted to.
They were hilarious.

Especially these two, who are pretending to be Jedi's. When this happened (the whole Jedi obsession thing) I don't know. But we are going with it.

There was another e-saver this weekend and don't think we weren't tempted.
I have a feeling you will be seeing more of these posts in the future.

Family Full Of Cousins

Ever tried to take a family picture with nine kids under the age of seven?
It can't be done. Can't.

We just spent the day with Matt's family at the lake.
Every single child is beautiful. All of them.
The most beautiful one? Maggie. But I didn't manage to snap a pic of her. Sorry Buff.

Doc (the captain of this family)

Lucy (looking like a sailor out at sea)

Uncle Diaper David

Gammy with Zoe and Tori

Asher (with his shooting face on)

Nate

Watts

Emmaline

Zoe

Tori

Sam

My smash nasty boy. Oh so handsome.

Matt is sitting there just thinking about the dadgum kitchen and how he doesn't want to go home.

Kissing Cousins

My sister Shellie, her two kids and my parents all came to visit this week...so sorry for the lack of posts. There literally was not enough time in the day to keep this blog updated! It was insane in the house, I mean four kids under the age of four. We called it the "Playdate that never ended!" Sometimes that was a good thing and sometimes it was not!

I have much to update you on, but I will do so later. For now, the pictures will have to speak a thousand words. Click on the flickr badge and check them out!

I will leave you with my favorite just to get you to go:

Help A Dream (however odd it may be) Come True

My mom's cousin Dimi (my mom's family has the CRAZIEST names) is a Disneyland Fanatic. Her daughter's name is Micki and for my entire life, they have gone to Disney every year.
She emailed my mom and several other people because she is a finalist in the CareerBuilder's Disney Job-For-A-Day contest. Here is her email:

"When I made my video resume for the job application, I didn’t realize that to win, I would need everyone I know, and some I don’t know to view it. I have made it past the judges into the top twenty. It is embarrassing, but my desire to work in the Haunted Mansion for a day and win a 4-day, 3-night trip to California is greater than my embarrassment.

Winners will be determined by a combination of their views and votes, so please take a look at my clip and vote for it. I don’t see where there is a limit on views, so watch it more than once if you can stand to. The viewing & voting period is March 6-30. Next, please forward to your friends and family and ask them less than 1 minute to click on my entry & vote for it.I really do appreciate your assistance. I am a huge Disney fan and would love the chance to work for a day in the original Disney Park. Thanks!"

Since so many people along the way in my life have helped to make my dreams come true, I would love for anyone out there (all six of you) to help my mom's cousin along the way to this dream. All you have to do is click on this link: http://www.careerbuilder.com/disneydreamjobs/dream-job-applicant.asp?ytid=Ft8sBahmNgk
and watch her video and click on "This one get's my vote". That's it! Thanks for helping!

You Knit Me Together in My Mother's Womb...

Great news from Buffy today! I will just let her tell you,

"The twins are both looking great and growing. The gap between the girls has gotten smaller. Last time there was a 30% discordance in their growth and this time it's a 20.7% discordance! We are thrilled that the little one is growing, and that the bigger one is growing too! The doctor said we need to keep watching things and come back again in three weeks. We are praying that they will continue to grow and that the difference between them will not increase."
We are so thrilled that the little twin is growing, I know one day we will all look back and laugh as the little one beats the crap out of the bigger one!
Speaking of that, we (me and the kids) are at Matt's parent's house for a few days as Matt is in Arizona and we are having a "grand ole time" as my niece Maggie puts it!

Maggie came up to visit with us while we are here and she is hilarious. I am sure you saw her YouTube video below, but she just turned four and has more personality that anyone in the house!

Today, the other cousins, Watts and Nate came over and Asher had quite a time playing with all of the older kids. He learned a new word today, "bup" which means (of course) "jump." The kids throw the pillows off of the all-white couch that we call "white fancy" and they jump on the springs like it is a really long trampoline. At one time or another at least two of the "monkeys" have fallen off and bumped their heads (just like the song). A little kiss and a rub on the forehead and they are back at it. I am sure that years ago when Linda bought this couch, she had no idea that her nice all white couch would become the playground for her four grandchildren, but so be it!

Away at the Moment

Hi everyone! Don't fear, I haven't disappeared off of the planet! I am just at my in-laws in Columbia for a few days and internet access is iffy at best. So I might be able to blog, I but I might not! I'll see what I can do! Ciao!
